If you provide home learning for your child then you might be very interested to know that we provide exclusive workshops and visits for groups of home learners throughout the year.

The Old Rectory provides a perfect venue for smaller groups and particularly children with SEND, who might prefer quieter and calmer environments. We offer monthly sessions for up to 10 children and their parents or carers to come an enjoy learning experiences together, all linked to the national curriculum.

Sessions are just £5 per child (non-refundable) and need to be pre-booked through our Eventbrite page.

Special Events – Museum Take Over

Calling all budding curators!

We are inviting young people who are home educated to join us to curate a brand new exhibition highlighting some of our collection.

You will work with some of our collection volunteers to learn how the handle and care for artefacts, select an object to research for display and produce an information label to help interpret it. The exhibition will take pride of place in our front entrance within the Old Rectory and be fully accessible for all visitors.

You will take part in four sessions on:

Tuesday 2nd June – 1pm to 2.30pm

Tuesday 9th June – 1pm to 2.30pm

Tuesday 16th June – 10.30 to 12pm

Tuesday 30th June – 1pm to 2.30pm

Attendance at all 4 sessions is required – spaces are FREE but limited and can be booked by clicking the image below:
