

The Role of Friends
As a Friend you could help to preserve and share our heritage by becoming a supporter who HELPS:
- Honour – support the running of the Old Rectory by giving an annual donation
- Encourage – inspire individuals and groups to visit and support the Old Rectory
- Learn – attend or become involved with our programme of events
- Provide – send articles to our newsletters or share ideas for future events and activities
- Serve – if local you may wish to join our team of volunteers
Special Benefits
As a Friend you will receive the following special benefits:
- Free entry to the house – including some special events
- Two newsletters – in the spring and autumn. We would encourage you to receive this by email to save on postage and print costs
- An exclusive Christmas event highlighting work undertaken during the year. This will be an online event.
- Bring a guest for a visit or event (who then takes up ‘Friends membership’), then your guest enjoys that day’s admission for free
- An in-person Friends’ Fundraising event in May each year. Friends, who are not able to attend in person can also organise an event in their own locality on the same day (or at an alternate time.
Our Next Friends Event – Join us for Afternoon Tea

On Saturday 23rd May we request the pleasure of the company of our Friends at a special tour of the Old Rectory and the grounds in the company of our new Chair, Debbie MacDonald and Strategic Manager, Sarah Maltby followed by a home baked afternoon tea. This is your opportunity to discover our forthcoming plans and to hear more about how you can help us this year.
