earthenware round plate celebrating 125th anniversary of Methodist Recorder

Earthenware round straight edged plate with black lithograph print of John Wesley facing 3/4 left in the manner of John Jackson R.A. (1778-1831) portrait 1827. There is a gold painted edge and 4 blue scallop shells around the border-under the portrait is the inscription "I look upon all the world as my parish John Wesley". There is a long inscription on the back. "This plate is presented to mark the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Methodist Recorder as an independent weekly newspaper. It is one of a unique limited edition numbered to 1000. The newspaper was published from Fleet Street, the centre of London's newspaper industry, until 1983 when it moved to Golden Lane in the heart of Wesley's London. Printed and produced by Ted Underhill of Mytholmroyd, W Yorkshire. This plate number 124
