Earthenware round portrait plaque with black transfer print of John Wesley facing 3/4 left. The half length portrait is in the manner of Henry Edridge ( 1769- 1821) portrait (1790) 1843) . There is irregular shading on either side of Wesley's profile. 3 on the left and 5 on the right.There is a border decoration of an outer plain edge then a plain black line, followed by a white border and another thin black line. Next is a broad plum line followed by a black line, a white border and a thin black line.. There are two holes in the top border to facilitate hanging.
