The subject is John Wesley in the manner of the John Wesley statue erected opposite the old rectory. This statue was sculpted by Sue Reeve and cast in bronze. The figurine is black tower coal resin. Wesley is wearing a waistcoat under an open riding jacket. He is wearing preaching bands coming from a cravat. He has breeches with knee length socks and buckle shoes. His right hand is held forward at chest height and his left hand is holding an open bible. He has a roll of hair at each side of the face and at the back a single roll resting on the shoulders. The socle is oval and solid.
