Oil painting of the Rectory on fire and the rescue of John Wesley

Depicting the previous Epworth Rectory on fire. On the left of the painting stands the Rectory, large flames are coming form the roof and the top of the building. From a first floor window the 6 year old John Wesley is being rescued by a man. The man is standing on the shoulders of another man. Many people are helping the two men. On the right of the painting another group of people is standing, holding on to each other (some part of the Wesley family). In front of the group on the right is one man praying towards the house on one knee. To the side of the house men are taking a horse and a cow out of the building. In the background are more people, other buildings and the Parish Church of Epworth. The sky is dark with the moonlight shining through the clouds. In a, gold painted, wooden frame.
