oak armchair with hand carved decoration and images of natives. There is an oak back with three flat pillars and hand carvings. On the pillars are carved busts of natives above a cartouche and below a carved floral design. On the top of the back is a snake holding a frog by its leg. Above the snake is a carved frog and three leaves. The arms are goose necked with carved rope decoration. 4 Oak planks form the seat which is wider at the front with chamfered corners. 2 back legs are curved and the front 2 are square and tapering. Carved on the side of the legs are the words "John Wesley". There are no stretchers and the joints are pegged mortise and tenon.
