earthenware figurine of John Wesley

earthenware figurine of John Wesley on an integral square solid base with rounded corners. It is in the manner of Minton shape 47. The back is a solid flowing gown. The hair is styled with a single roll at each side. At the back and extending from the single roll at the sides grey hair hangs to the shoulder in curls. The face is flesh coloured with pink cheeks The pupils of the eyes and the eyebrows are black. The lips are small and red. The cassock is black and calf length, the legs have white stockings and black shoes. White bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown is white and reaches the base at the sides and back. The shirt cuffs are white. The hands are pale flesh coloured with the right hand held at shoulder height and the left hand is under a book( Bible) which is open with a black cover and squiggles on the open pages. The socle is square with rounded corners and a gold line.
