Bronze commemorative portrait medal 1839 with head and shoulders profile of John Wesley looking left. The obverse profile is in the manner of Henry Edridge ARA (1767-1821) engraved by R Page. John Wesley is wearing a cassock and gown with preaching bands coming from the top of a cravat. The reverse of the coin shows a head and shoulders bust of Charles Wesley looking 3/4 front left in the manner of John Russell RA (1745-1806) engraved by T A Dean. Charles is wearing a cassock and gown with preaching bands coming from the top of a cravat.
