earthenware teapot with blue transfer decorations

Earthenware teapot with lid. The teapot has blue transfer printed geometrical decoration around the top of the body, top rim and handle. Either side of the spout and on the spout there are blue transfer flowers. On either side of the body is a blue transfer oval decoration surrounding a black verse by John Cennick (1718-1755) The earthenware lid has a blue transfer geometrical decoration in a border around the top and a flower on the knob. There is a small round air vent hole.
