Bulbous shaped jug decorated with black floral transfer prints. The handle is a loop with thumb rest on outer top and finger rest inside bottom. The transfer prints are on all sides with pictures at the sides and quotations front and back. On both sides the picture is a half length 3/4 right picture of John Wesley in his study in the manner of the Richard Arnold (1790) miniature (1790). On a white background a black transfer with a floral design framing an Isaac Watts verse from his hymn "Come we that love the Lord", (Hymns and Spiritual Songs 1709) which Wesley included in his 1737 edition of his Charleston "Collection of Psalms and Hymns". Below the hymn to the left " A Morning Prayer" encircled by a flower. Below the hymn to the right "An Evening Prayer" encircled by a floral design.
