earthenware figurine of John Wesley on an integral round solid base. The back is a solid flowing gown. The hair is styled with a single roll at each side. At the back and extending from the single roll at the sides grey hair hangs to the shoulder in curls. The face is lesh coloured with pink cheeks and 2 red dots for nostrils. The pupils of the eyes are black and the eyebrows grey. The lips are red. The cassock is white and reaches down to the black shoes. Gold bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown has gold edged sleeves with flowing folds which reach the base at the sides and back. The shirt is white with gold cuffs. The hands are flesh coloured and hold a book( Bible) which is open with a red cover, yellow edges and black lines on the pages.
