A silver coloured pure silk woven picture of John Wesley in the manner of John Jackson (1778-1831) portrait (1827) looking 3/4 left with his left hand between the pages of a book (Bible). His right hand and arm are loosely held forward. In the book (Bible) is a piece of paper marking a place. Wesley is wearing a black cassock, black gown with white shirt sleeves showing. He is wearing white preaching bands coming from the top of a cravat. The book (Bible) is on a table or a pulpit book rest.
