Earthenware oblong plate with moulded deep integral picture frame. There are two holes in the top border to facilitate hanging on a wall. The subject is John Wesley in a half - length profile facing left in the manner of Henry Eldridge (1769 -1821) portrait (1790). There is shading on either side of Wesley. In each corner there is a 3 narrow fleck leaf design in pink lustre. The relief moulding is decorated with spotted pink lustre and the outer edge is highlighted in copper lustre.
