Earthenware round plate with two holes in the top border to facilitate hanging on a wall. The subject is John Wesley in a half - length profile facing front left in the manner of John Barry(fl 1780-1830) miniature 1790 reversed from the William Thomas Fry (1789-1843) etching. The image of John Wesley has pronounced veins on the left temple. The border decoration consists of an outer edge relief moulding painted black and the inner edge is painted mustard. In the centre is the image of Wesley and 2 inscriptions.
