Earthenware figure of John Wesley with a solid flowing gown at the back. The hair is styled in a single roll at each side. Extending from this and at the back the hair hangs straight to the shoulders in curls and is coloured grey. The face is flesh coloured, the pupils and the eyebrows are black. The cheeks are pink, and the lips are red. The black cassock is calf length. There is a white cravat and the white bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown is white reaching the base at the sides and back. The legs have white stockings and the shoes are black. The hands are pale flesh coloured. The right hand is resting on an open book (Bible) while the left hand is under the book. The book is open and has gold edges and black dots on the pages. The socle is round and hollow with a gold painted line.
