Earthenware figure of John Wesley in the manner of Minton shape 47. The hair is styled in a single roll at each side. Extending from this and at the back the hair hangs straight to the shoulders in curls and is coloured grey. The face is flesh coloured, the pupils are black, the eyebrows are black. The cheeks are pink and the small lips are red. The white cassock is calf length and there is a white cravat and cummerbund. The bands come from the top of the cravat. The legs have white stockings and the shoes are black. The right hand is missing but should point forward and the left hand is under a part open book (Bible). The book is open and has a red cover. The base is round,concave and painted with a gold line.
