Earthenware figure of John Wesley. The hair is styled in a single roll at each side. Extending from this and at the back the hair hangs straight to the shoulders in curls and is coloured grey. The face is flesh coloured, the pupils are black, the eyebrows are black. The cheeks are pink, and the lips are red. The black cassock is calf length. There is a white cravat and the bands are white coming form the top of the cravat. The gown is white reaching the base at the sides and back and has faded gold highlighting. The legs have white stockings and the shoes are black. The hands are flesh coloured. The right hand is resting on an open book (Bible) while the left hand is under the book. The book is open and has a red cover with white edges and black lines on the pages. The socle is round and solid.
