Earthenware figure of John Wesley with solid flowing gown and a small hole in the back. The hair is styled in a single roll at each side. Extending from this and at the back the hair hangs straight to the shoulders in curls and is coloured grey. The face is flesh coloured, the pupils are black, the eyebrows are grey. The cheeks are pink and the lips are red. The white cassock reaches down to the shoes. There is a white cravat and the bands are gold, coming form the top of the cravat. The legs cannot be seen and the shoes are black. The hands are flesh coloured and the right and left hands are holding a book (Bible) . The book is open and has a deep red cover with yellow edges and black lines on the pages. The socle is round, solid.
