Earthenware flat-back Gothic rococo style ornament with a figure of John Wesley. On the canopy is a dove in relief painted purple with a green olive branch on the canopy. On either side of the dove is a cherub's head with wings. The cherubs have black hair and their faces are flesh coloured. They have thin black lines for eyes, pink cheeks and red lips. Their wings are highlighted in blue. There is a half - length figure of John Wesley standing in a pulpit. On the pulpit is an open book (Bible) on a black cushion with a fringe. The book has red edges and black dashes on the open pages. On the pulpit front is a clock face with gold painted Arabic numerals. The hands are set at 7.10. In each corner above the clock there is a relief green leaf. Below the clock left is a relief flower with 2 green leaves and 7 red dots. On the right the flower has 7 faded dots. The ornament is highlighted in blue, green, red and gold. The base is oval with a recess. It has a gold painted line on the front and the sides. The John Wesley figure has straight grey hair resting on the shoulders. The face is flesh colour, the eyebrows and eyelids are black and the pupils are white. The cheeks are pink and the lips are red. The cassock is black, the cravat white and the bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown is black and reaches to the pulpit. The hands are flesh coloured. The right hand is held to head height and the left is resting on his waist. The book has black marks on open pages with red edges.
