Plaster bust of John Wesley painted bronze on an integral stepped square socle. It is in the manner of Jonathan Spilsbury (floruit 1760-1790)engraving of the George Romney (1734-1802) portrait (1789). (see notes at bottom) Apart from the bronze colour there is no decoration. The hair is styled in a single roll to the shoulder. The bands come out of the top of the cravat, there are no neck buttons and there is a gown. The wood base is fastened to the bust by a metal wood screw.
