Glazed and painted earthenware bust of John Wesley on an integral bow fronted waisted socle in the manner of Enoch Wood with classical draped gown. The face and hair are under-glaze painted,the cassock, gown and socle are over-glaze enamel painted and the cravat and preaching bands are unpainted white.The hair is uncoloured and the style is a single roll resting on the shoulders. The pupils are black, irises not coloured, the eyebrows small black strokes and the eyelids are uncoloured. The cheeks are uncoloured. The cassock is black and has no neck buttons and the bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown is black with classical full folds meeting at the waist. The socle is integral, waisted and bow fronted and is sponge painted in red on the front and sides.
