Glazed and painted earthenware bust of John Wesley on an integral oval waisted oblong socle in the manner of Enoch Wood flatten gown series 1. The face and hair are under-glaze painted,the cassock, gown and socle are over-glaze enamel painted and the cravat and preaching bands are unpainted white.The hair is white and the style is a single roll resting on the shoulders. The pupils are black, irises white. The cheeks are pale pink and the lips are red. The black cassock has no neck buttons and the bands come from the top of the cravat. The gown is black and has flattened folds. The socle is integral,oval waisted and decorated in imitation red marble on an oblong with chamfered corners painted black.
