The arms are a continuous U shape attached on one turned support and three spindles on each side and 3 spindles either side of a shaped and pierced splat. The seat is shaped and solid elm. There are 4 turned legs and a caroline or cowhorn stretcher with 2 straight supports. The joints are wedged tenon.
